Alexander Rossi has become 2015 GP2 Series Vice Champion after finishing fourth in the Abu Dhabi Feature Race.
The American driver was well one his way to sealing second place in the Drivers’ Championship before this weekend but a big points haul compared to a no score for his main rival Sergey Sirotkin made absolutely sure.
In what has been only his first full season campaign in GP2 Rossi has had a stellar year, bagging three race victories and four more other podium finishes.
The Racing Engineering driver beat tough competition from Sirotkin and Rio Haryanto, both of whom had strong runs mid-season to become Vice Champion after it become clear Stoffel Vandoorne was running away with the title.
This success caps off a life changing year for Rossi after he made his debut as a Formula One driver two months ago for the Manor F1 Team.
