Alexander Rossi has secured his first victory of the season and his first since Abu Dhabi 2013 as his team mate Jordan King completed a Racing Engineering 1-2.

Jordan King got a good getaway from pole position and battled his team mate Alexander Rossi hard through the first sector. It was the American who came out on top after the Brit made a small mistake into Les Combes. Series leader Stoffel Vandoorne jumped to P5 after starting P8.

Julián Leal started well but when he was passed by Vandoorne – this put him on the back foot and he soon lost more places to RUSSIAN TIME team mates Mitch Evans and Artem Markelov. The Colombian driver continued to drop down the order and finished P11.

Arthur Pic brought out the virtual safety car for a short while having beached his Campos in the gravel trap.

As the racing got back underway, Rossi created a gap to King behind just as Vandoorne behind him made a rare mistake and locked up heavily into Bus Stop Chicane; this lost Vandoorne two seconds to the Brit ahead of him.

On the final lap of the race, Mitch Evans got extremely close to Vandoorne and secured third place on the podium with a DRS assisted move down the Kemmel Straight.

Alexander Rossi led home a Racing Engineering 1-2 after 18 laps of racing. Jordan King collected his first piece of GP2 silverware as a result.

Artem Markelov finished fifth to end a fantastic weekend. Sergey Sirotkin, Nat Berthon and Alex Lynn collected the final points.
