Carlin driver Sean Gelael has been handed a penalty by the race stewards after today’s Sprint Race at Spa-Francorchamps.

During the virtual safety car period sparked by Arthur Pic getting stuck in the gravel, Gelael was found not to have maintained the correct distance to his competitors.

The Indonesian was given a five second penalty but this did not alter the race result; his 21st position remains the same.
