Gustav Malja subs for Binder at Trident for Belgium weekend

Gustav MaljaSwedish driver Gustav Malja will make his debut in GP2 this weekend at Spa with Trident.

Malja is sitting in for Rene Binder who is still recovering from a bacterial infection which restricted his racing last time out in Budapest.

Malja – born in Malmö, Sweden – has been competing in Formula Renault 3.5 this year and finished on the podium at the event in Hungary a few weeks ago.

The 19-year-old has been racing single seaters since 2011 and his best season was in 2012 when he was runner up in ADAC Formel Masters.

Canamasas back at Lazarus

Another driver change this weekend is Sergio Canamasas taking the place of Zoel Amberg at Lazarus as the Swiss driver is still suffering from various illnesses and discomfort.

Oliver Rowland is making a second appearance in GP2 this season with MP Motorsport after an impressive debut earlier in the season at Silverstone.
