GP2 reconvenes this week at the Bahrain International Circuit for the second and final test before the opening round of the championship at the same venue.
The final test sees the 22 confirmed drivers take to the circuit in Bahrain for three days alongside four other drivers who have been selected for this event. Hilmer’s lineup of two sees GP3 race winners Nick Yelloly and Nigel Melker; the latter of the two also spent a year in this very Series back in 2012 with Ocean Racing Technology.
Richie Stanaway has been drafted in for the second test in a row by Status Grand Prix in a move that suggests the New Zealander is trying to secure a race seat deal with the team.
The final seat at MP Motorsport has been taken by Sergio Canamasas who tested with Hilmer back in Abu Dhabi.
