Norman Nato has made the switch to GP2 this season after signing with Arden International.
Nato has spent the last two years racing in Formula Renault 3.5 and both times his team mates – Kevin Magnussen & Carlos Sainz, Jr – won the title. The 22-year-old Frenchman has won two races in his World Series career; one of which came in early 2014 in the iconic Monaco street race.
This season sees Nato switch to GP2 for the first year but he has some experience in the GP2/11 car after testing with Arden, RUSSIAN TIME and Racing Engineering at the end of last season.
Nato’s team mate is yet to be announced but strong rumours suggest that André Negrão will maintain his Arden seat.
Arden International Team Principal Garry Horner: “We are delighted to have Norman sign with us for our GP2 Championship challenge this season. We have had the opportunity to observe him closely throughout his year in the World Series Championship and feel he is ready for the step into GP2 Series.”
Norman Nato: “I am delighted to join such an experienced and successful team for my debut in GP2. The Abu Dhabi tests went well and I had a great feeling with the team. Although I am a rookie, I aim to achieve a strong performance in 2015.”
