Beitske Visser is to drive for Lazarus in post-season testing later this week.
Visser will contest two of the three days of the post-season with the Venezuela GP Lazarus team when the event gets underway in Abu Dhabi on Thursday 27.
The 19-year-old Dutchwoman has spent 2014 racing in Formula Renault 3.5 where she finished the season 21st in the standings having scored eleven points. Visser’s season highlight would arguably be holding off Red Bull backed Pierre Gasly in the penultimate race of the year to finish in fifth place.
She also made a brief appearance in GP3 at the beginning of the season where – with no previous testing – her best finish was 15th in the second race.
Visser is the second female racer to drive in GP2 after Simona de Silvestro who contested one day of testing with Campos Racing back in 2007.
