Sergio Canamasas and René Binder have both been penalised following the Abu Dhabi Feature Race.

The GP2 stewards found that Canamasas had left the circuit at turn eight and gained an unfair advantage. The Spaniard had originally finished the race in P12 but after 20 seconds were added to his allotted race time, he is now classified P16.

The other penalty handed out was to René Binder. The Austrian driver was deemed responsible for the first lap incident between himself and Jon Lancaster which caused his own retirement from the race. As the Arden driver was classified last, he will start from the pit lane having been given a five place grid penalty.
