Nicholas Latifi replaces Daniel Abt at Hilmer

Canadian racer Nicholas Latifi has been announced as Daniel Abt’s replacement for the final event of the 2015 season at Hilmer Motorsport.

Daniel Abt elected to race in Formula E this weekend rather than finishing his second season in GP2 with German team Hilmer Motorsport.

Latifi is jumping into GP2 with no previous experience with his highest level of car racing competition to date coming in Formula Renault 3.5 where spent the second half of this season. He took a podium in the final race of the year and amassed 20 points having only driven in six races.

Latifi also raced in FIA F3 this year where he finished the year tenth in the standings.
